The weather may not be very springlike, I know I keep complaining about the lack of spring weather, but really....I’m so tired of the cold and the wet and the mud. But here is our little bit of sunshine. On Tuesday we received some baby chicks. Larry decided we need to have chickens. He spent a lot of time and energy building a lovely coop for them and although I was resistant at first, I have to admit, these are the cutest little gals I’ve seen in a long time. They are growing fast, starting to get feathers. And they are movers! They run, they hop, they are busy. They are a delightful little Easter treat – baby chicks, who wouldn’t want a few (or more)?
We wish you and yours a very Happy Easter.
Well, with the coming of Spring (if this is truly Spring) we will bid farewell to Tilly as she goes home. Sue has decided it is time to take her home and as of May 1 she will be leaving our herd. Let’s be sure to let Tilly know over the next few weeks just how much we have enjoyed having her with us. Fortunately we will still get to see tilly every week as she and sue trailer over for their lesson.
She’s a lovely girl and although she will be missed we are so happy for Sue to be bringing her home. There is nothing like having your horse in your own back yard!
